Webmissive's privacy policy is simple. Your responsibility as a Webmissive user is to adhere to the terms of use. If you comply with these terms, Webmissive guarantees the following:
  • E-mail addresses that you enter on this web site are not made available to anyone (except, of course, message recipients, and then only if you enter your e-mail address)

  • Webmissive does not send mail to these addresses selling any type of product or service. That includes the sender's e-mail address (if entered) as well as the e-mail addresses of the recipients to whom senders post Webmissives.

  • Only with your explicit "opt-in" permission does Webmissive send you updates about the site.

  • You will not find any pre-checked "please notify me of selected promotions from our affiliates" checkboxes (or non-pre-checked checkboxes, for that matter) on this site because Webmissive does not have any affiliates and is not in the business of building lists of e-mail addresses, compiling demographical information, or using anyone's e-mail address for any purpose other than getting Webmissive messages from senders to recipients.

  • Like most web sites, Webmissive logs the IP addresses of all users. An IP address looks something like "169.254.197.180". This set of numbers identifies either your internet service provider or your computer. If you adhere to the terms of use (in essence, that means that you're not using the site for either commercial or illegal purposes, for "spamming", or in other ways that your common sense tells you it shouldn't be used for), Webmissive will not use these IP addresses in any way. If you violate the terms of use, Webmissive may be legally or otherwise obligated to supply your IP address and other information to third parties. If you don't abuse this service, you won't have anything to worry about.

(Note: logging a user's IP address is not the same thing as logging his or her e-mail address. It is not legal in many instances for a web site to log a user's e-mail address without his or her knowledge, but this is somewhat irrelevant since it is also not technically possible because of the way the internet is structured.)

Any questions, please feel free to send mail here. If you believe that someone has abused the services offered by Webmissive based on the terms of use agreement, please click here.
